The seca 233 measuring rod is for use only with the seca 374 baby scale. The easy-to-read seca 233 rod measures babies up to 32 inches / 80 cm.  Its integrated head and foot positioners aid the placement of the baby on the scale.  With the addition of the seca 233 rod, the seca 374 baby scale becomes a complete weighing and measuring system. When obtaining the seca 233 rod, there is no need to obtain the seca 418 head and foot positioner for the scale.
